Director of Photography
Keith Nicol studied Film, Television, Journalism and Photography at Seneca College and York University in Canada before there was a single Media Studies course available outside of the National Film School or the BBC in the UK.

At 21 he was invited to join IATSE as an Assistant 35mm Film Cameraman (recommended by DoP Owald Morris) and went on to work on a number of motion pictures, more than a dozen Television Series' and bucket-loads of commercials before going freelance. He even tried to act in a few of them himself and aquired a qualification as a Stunt Driver.

By the age of 24 he was already a member of the MPA (Master Photographers Association), PPA (Professional Photographers of America), EQUITY, ACFC (Association of Canadian Film Craftspeople), BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) and the CIOJ (Chartered Institute of Journalism).

He was a contributing photographer and journalist for such publications as New Musical Express, Melody Maker, Ulster Tattler, New Woman, She, Classic and Sports Car, Kit Car and Specials, Road and Track, Northern Woman, Point North and Homes and Gardens.

He worked as a Cruise Ship Photographer for Trans Ocean Photos and Neptune Photography and recently managed photo and video teams for Image Photo Services on some of the World’s best known cruise ships.

He’s also worked as a Radio Presenter in Northern Ireland, Spain, Canada, Bermuda and many a Cruise Ship.

He even played semi-pro football for a while, was a professional scuba diver, had a try out for the Memphis Showboats UFSL team and even tried his hand as a movie stunt driver, most recently on Fast and Furious 2!

The list could go on and on, but I’m sure you get the picture (no pun intended!).
