Media Team requirements for Photographers
Our aim is to put together the strongest team of Photo and Video professionals on the Costa Blanca. Thus, it goes without saying that everyone will have experience in photography and video, own their own equipment and portray a positive, friendly and professional image, whether they are representing Media Team Spain or themselves.

For some of the events that we are hoping shall happen in 2008, we are going to be needing teams of three or four photographers and probably two video teams, so it’s important that everyone can put their competitive instincts aside and be able to work together.

We realize that some photographers may not wish to do this and play second fiddle, which is perfectly OK. Once we know where your strengths stand we shall work towards nourishing them  for the future.

Photographers
All photographers shall be expected to have:
*    a Digital SLR camera (make not important) with a capture rate of at least six megapixals and the ability to capture images in RAW mode
*    a professional Flash Gun
*     basic knowledge of Photoshop and the ability to retouch images
*    a stock of Media Cards to cover an event or events
*    spare batteries for flash and camera
*    smart and professional appearance and presentation

The Costa Blanca Wedding Day
We offer a number of packages to our couples. Most of them shall include shooting from the arrival of the Groom and guests at the Church or venue, until the first dance.
We would expect you to capture at least 350-400 images per shoot.
Upon completion of your shoot you shall be required to retouch all files, burn them to DVD as jpegs (two copies) and deliver them to our office or a designated meeting place.
You may also be provided with a requested shoot list from the Bride (do Grooms ever do this sort of thing) which shall be passed on to you and which you are expected to fulfill, if at all possible.

Payment Structure
We have two different structures for Weddings.

1. We pass over the entire wedding production to you, in return for a referral fee
2. You shoot for Media Team Spain for a set amount dependent on the package chosen by the couple.

Other projects, such as commercial, corporate or events shall depend on each individual contract with our clients.

1. Referrals:
In many cases, Media Team Spain shall pass over the contact details of our clients to you.
It is then your responsibility to meet with the clients, sell yourself and your own packages, shoot the wedding in your own style and deliver the finished images to your clients.
For each referral passed on by the Media Team, you shall pay us a fee of €75 cash.

In the majority of cases, Media Team Spain shall collect the deposit and retain our €75 referral fee, passing on the remainder to you to hold the booking.

Upon completion of the project you shall provide Media Team Spain with a finished DVD of all images captured at the Celebration/Event for Media Team Spain to use for promotional purposes for a period of up to three-years after the event. You still hold all rights to the images and we shall only use use the images for promotion, not re-selling.

That’s all there is to it.
Your profit after this referral Payment is yours along with residuals.

2. Photo Video Spain / Costa Blanca Weddings gig
For Weddings that come under  this banner, you shall either be the lead photographer or reportage photographer.
In this instance, both photographers shall retouch their photographs and present a DVD with all images to Media Team Spain for payment. 

Lead Photographer
You shall shoot the wedding in exactly the same way for us, as you would if they were your own clients.
You organise the shoot.
You shoot all of the traditional poses.
The majority of the images should be shot by you.
If not one photograph was produced by the Reportage photographer, you should still have shot all of the important images yourself, to tell the story of the wedding.
You are also in charge of directing the Reportage Photographer, unless the Director of Photography is present, in which case both of you shall take direction from the Director of Photography.
The Lead Photographer shall be present at the wedding for a period of up to eight hours.

Reportage Photographer
Your primary task is to stay in the background and capture more casual images of the guests, children and background images of the venue, flowers, reception area, etc.
You will take direction from the Lead Photographer.
You will help with posing of the Groups and assist the Lead Photographer as requested.
The Reportage shall be present at the wedding for up up to six hours (possibly longer if you are waiting for a lift home with the Media Team Spain crew)
Your shooting day shall most likely end after the cutting of the mock cake and when all guests  enter for the Wedding Breakfast.

As soon as we receive the deposit for the wedding, you shall receive a booking fee of €50. You shall be paid a further €50 on the wedding day and the balance upon delivery of the completed disc of images to Media Team Spain.

Please note, in the majority of circumstances you are NOT required to become involved in producing prints, albums, meeting again with the couples, etc. You are being paid for what we assume you do best; taking photographs.

Your only other responsibility is to retouch your photos as you see fit and provide Media Team Spain with a DVD of all of your images, in jpeg format, within 5-working days, from the conclusion of the wedding.

Weddings outside of the Costa Blanca
We also work with Wedding Planners on the Costa del Sol, Barcelona and Madrid.

We are also seeking Photographers, Videographers and Sales Staff from other regions of Spain, so please feel free to contact us with your details.

In the majority of cases (for Weddings outside of the Costa Blanca), we shall be referring the clients to you and so we only require our referral fee of €75 plus a copy of the master disc as outlined above. You charge the client your standard rates and provide them with the finished photos/albums/etc.

Referrals for Video
If your Photography business receives a request for a video team, and Media Team Spain provides that service, we shall also pay YOU a €50 commission for recommending us.
